Description: Funny thing about advertising mall gift cards; you can’t make the cards seem more enticing than another product, since there may be a store in the mall that sells that product. Also, you can’t outright say it’s the easy the way out of gift giving, since it might offend the actual buyer. So when Macerich wanted a fresh prospective on their gift card in-mall advertising, we created this campaign. By using a comical tone, and getting to the real reason someone may give a gift card, I was able to tiptoe the lines, and develop an engaging and memorable print campaign.
